1st Baptist Live Oak youth mission plans were established for the complete year, with one exception, God had a plan they had not yet heard about.  Another youth team that planned to come to Roatan Honduras June 7th cancelled. God spoke clearly to Jeff Scott 1st Baptist Live Oak to take a team to Roatan, only one problem; they could only come the week of June 7th. WOW!

When God calls someone, He shows up, as you will read in this update.

We witnessed each and every youth taking a huge step of faith and watching God stretch them to a new level of faith. One youth after another stepped out in faith and we witnessed over 80 salvations that week.

Salvation began on back of truck first picture. Youth sharing the gospel while someone was praying following a soccer game.  Youth sharing following a sporting event.

Mission Team lead worship at church In Colonia. Following a Soccer game kids signed up for a visit to their house. Youth stopped someone walking by the church to share Jesus.

1ST Baptist Live Oak came in with a purpose, build relationships, shared Jesus, and visited in homes leaving many encouraged.

WHAT DID 1ST BAPTIST LIVE OAK FIND OUT ABOUT THE COLONIA WHERE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE LIVE?

80 SALVATIONS IN ONE WEEK ~ PEOPLE NEED TO HEAR ABOUT THE GREAT NEWS JESUS HAS!

A COLONIA CHURCH MEMBER ~ FOLLOWING A LENGTHY MEETING WITH A LONG TERM CHURCH MEMBER AT HIS HOUSE THEY FOUND HE COULD NOT LOCATE CHAPTERS IN HIS BIBLE. DISCIPLESHIP IS NEEDED FOR THIS VILLAGE.

PEOPLE LIVING IN THE COLONIA ARE OKAY FOR VISITS IN HOME ~ FOLLOWING VBS, SPORTING EVENTS KIDS WERE SIGNING UP FOR PEOPLE FROM 1ST BAPTIST LIVE OAK TO COME AND VISIT.

GOD KEEPS SHOWING OFF, ALLOWING LW4R TO WITNESS THE DRILLING OF WELL NUMBER 3 !

Elias and Asdrubal identifies place for drilling of new well. Truck setting up to drilling well. Kids came to watch the drilling from the village.

And then water began flowing with chemicals they use. This made a great playground for kids.

THIS WELL WILL PROVIDE THE ABILITY TO PUMP WATER INTO THE WATER TANK BY THE CHURCH IN HOPES OF  INCREASING THE  FLOW OF WATER TO THE HOUSES. WE ARE EXPECTING THE MAYOR TO BUILD A WATER TANK WHICH WILL GREATLY ENHANCE THE WATER FLOW TO EACH HOUSE.

Below is a consensus of Policarpo Village completed by Rosa who lives below in our efficiency apartment? The Colonia is divided into TheBalfate and Monte Fresco Villages. Balfate is a smaller Village than Policarpo and Monte Fresco is very small. The info regarding a consensus is very hard to get from the people because they think you will use it against them. We approached them by letting them know we are interested in building a Community Center for the Colonia. We sense this info is close to being accurate.

What you see above is the largest Village in the Colonia, notice the number of kids from the ages of 0 to 18, totals 600 lives. We have an opportunity to make a difference in these young children through this Community Center.

Please remember we have two other sections of people living in the Colonia as well.

First we need to purchase land, then build a Community Center, and provide financial support for someone to lead this effort.

Our most important need is for you to begin PRAYING about these requests listed above. God’s word is very direct, “You have not because you ask not (James 4:2).” We believe that if you will come on a short term missions trip you will be able to see and understand the needs first hand. Also participate by completing
a project while you are in Roatan Honduras.

We would also very much appreciate your gifts; we need monthly givers and one time givers. Our financial needs have increased, but so has our understanding of the needs as the building of relationships with the people has matured.

Please consider 1. Praying, 2. Coming on a short term mission trip, or 3. Financial support.

We would gladly welcome ALL THREE!
